Evidence-Based Associates Expands Team
Charleston, SC - Evidence-Based Associates (EBA), a national firm that works with state and local agencies to identify and implement evidence-based programs for at-risk youth, has hired Yvonne Doerre as project manager for its "Put Families First" project in Washington D.C. The "Put Families First" project was established by the Justice Grants Administration to assist with the implementation of evidence-based practices (EBPs).
Doerre received her bachelor's degree from Indiana University and her master's degree from Washington University's George Warren Brown School of Social Work. She has worked in the mental health and child welfare fields for 15 years and served as an independent trainer and consultant for various community and government agencies for the last eight years.
As project manager, Doerre's primary focus with the project is to expand the provision of evidence-based programs available to at-risk youth. Doerre and the "Put Families First" project will also focus on developing the capacity of the service provider organizations, Washington DC-based funding agencies, and the broader community in the District so agencies can not only maintain quality EBP services with adherence to model standards but also, with minimal assistance, select and successfully implement other EBPs district-wide. During the course of this project, approximately 200 Washington-area youth and families will be helped.
"We are eager to get things moving in Washington and Yvonne is the perfect addition to make this project a success," says Dan Edwards, EBA's chief operating officer. "With her experience and leadership skills, we will be able to address the needs of hundreds of high-risk youth in the Washington area and further expand implementation of model programs across the country."
ABOUT EBA
EBA is an award-winning company whose mission is to facilitate reform in state-based, juvenile justice systems through the use of performance-based contracts in order to reduce
costs and improve outcomes. As more youth continue to be ordered into expensive and often ineffective out-of-home placement, detention centers and residential treatment
facilities, EBA recognizes the need to provide guidance and services that will support system reform while substantially reducing costs and improving results.
